Atlanta Pride Weekend to feature concerts, parade, plays and art exhibitions

Atlanta Pride Weekend is back and bigger than ever Oct. 7 through Oct. 9 with headlining performances by Big Freedia, Flo Rida, and Betty Who at Piedmont Park. The park will also feature a marketplace, food, and more. Annual marches for the trans, bi and pan, and dyke communities will be held, along with a display of panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The annual Pride Parade will march from downtown to Piedmont Park along Peachtree Street on Sunday, Oct. 9, starting at noon. Be sure to visit  for the latest updates and schedule of events. 

Pride on the Square

Colony Square in Midtown will have tune, drag queens, food, and more Oct. 7 starting at 6 p.m. with DJ Yvonne Monet on the decks. Drag celebrity Brigette Bidet takes the stage at p.m., while complimentary bites will be on offer from Sukoshi, and True Life Wellness. See all the details here.

Parade Registration

Kickoff

The Parade will step off on Sunday October 9, , at p.m.  Entries will be placed sections by date on which they applied and paid with the exception of grand marshals, sponsors, and special guests who will be placed as individually agreed upon. Parade request, staging setup, and all other information will be emailed to all registered entrants after September 20, All payments after September 15, , must be made by cashier check, money direct, cash or credit card.

Parade Representatives

Atlanta Pride Committee, Inc. (APC) is requesting that each group designate one person as their “parade representative”. The parade representative will help with coordination of vehicle/group setup and controlling the flow of their float/group during the parade. Parade representatives will announce to parade check-in for entry verification on October 9,

Signs/Banners/Logos

Entries onsite must reflect the application as filed with APC. No other group or business may be promoted on a banner/sign/logo without written permission from APC. If a participant has not received

It is that time of year again where rainbows, glitter, parties and celebrations of love will be colorfully displayed around the city. You may be asking, didn’t Pride just happen in June? Yes, yes it did. A little context: The first Atlanta Pride (unofficially named) originally occurred in June at Piedmont Park to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in   However, in , due to park and drought regulations, Atlanta Pride was moved to October. Conveniently, the celebrations coincide with National Coming Out Day on October

With the largest pride festival in the Southeast, Atlanta Pride returns to Piedmont Park for the first time since Celebrate diversity and community during a weekend-long extravaganza with live entertainment, cultural exhibits, the giant Pride parade and the Marketplace featuring more than vendor booths, as well as restaurant and nightlife promotions.

The Atlanta Pride Parade is the biggest event of the Festival. Drawing over , people along the streets of Midtown Atlanta! Traditionally stepping off from the Atlanta Civic Center MARTA Station at noon on Sunday and continuing down Peachtree Street, the parade will turn right onto 10th Street and end a block from the Charles Allen Gates to Piedmont Park.
