Watch the 55th LA Pride Parade
The 55th annual LA Pride Parade rolled through its original historic location in the heart of Hollywood on Sunday. You can watch it in the video player above.
The parade route began at Sunset Blvd. and Highland Ave. heading north, then east onto Hollywood Blvd., then south onto Cahuenga Blvd., ending at Sunset Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd.
The route was approximately one mile long, consisting of revelers from SoCal's top LGBTQ+ nonprofits, employee resource groups, city agencies, local, regional, and national businesses, clubs, bands, floats, and more than a few surprises.
The Grand Marshals were Vanguard Grand Marshals Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts, Celebrity Grand Marshal Andrew Rannells, and Community Grand Marshals Trino Garcia and Adam Vasquez, aka "TrinoxAdam" - viral Angelenos who are overcoming stereotypes through their unexpected love story.

In June the first permitted gay parade in the world was on Hollywood Boulevard, and now as L.A celebrates the 50th anniversary, the original and iconic parade is back where it all began. Over parade floats, marchers, trucks, exotic cars, twirlers, performers march in style as only the LGBTQ community and its allies can. This years grand marshals are Sir Lady Java, Tag Indelicate and Grammy-award winner Paula Abdul.
Starts Sunday, a.m. Hollywood Blvd. Cahuenga to Highland, South on Highland to Sunset Blvd., East on Sunset to Cahuenga.

For decades, West Hollywood has been home to one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each June.

This year's WeHo Pride Arts Festival will verb place from Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25 with various events and programming.
Throughout the 40 days from May 22 to June 30, there will be community group events at various locations.

LA Pride returns to its roots this weekend, with a parade that had its beginnings in on Hollywood Boulevard and an A-lister headlining this years musical performances.
The Los Angeles festival will be the biggest in a host of similar LGBTQ celebrations taking place throughout Southern California in June, which is officially Pride Month. The LA Pride Parade & Festival will return to an in-person party after going virtual the previous two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“LA Pride is ready to celebrate our community’s resilience and strength together, Sharon-Franklin Brown, board president for LA Pride organizer Christopher Street West Association, said in a statement earlier this year. It’s why we wanted to share the dates now. It’s an incredible honor to resume such an iconic celebration for ”
Pride in the Park, an outdoor musical event at the L.A. State Historic Park, N. Spring St., will kick things off from 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and will feature, among other performers, pop superstar Christina Aguilera.
