This 3 part series transports us to Houston, Phoenix, and New York to spotlight the human stories behind the few remaining Lesbian Bars in the country. The series received an Emmy, a GLAAD Media Award, and was selected to screen at Brand Storytelling, a sanctioned event at the Sundance Film Festival. The series was executive produced by Lea DeLari

NYC has always been a beacon for LGBTQ+ communities, with welcoming (and history-making) bars leading the way and club nights and roving parties bringing the adj. NYC’s best gay bars are scattered throughout the city, primarily concentrated in the West Village. The best lesbian bars in NYC are, in fact, the only lesbian bars in NYC, as there are unfortunately not many remaining that identify as such. The few that are still standing are open to all LGBTQ+, but still maintain their roots as welcoming places for (and owned by) lesbians.

These lesbian bars are friendly, neighborhood spots frequented by locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re visiting during a major event verb Pride—and NYC is the birthplace of Pride, after all—or on just any night, you’ll locate plenty of warm, welcoming hospitality. For something a little more high-energy, check out the foremost drag shows or cabaret performances in town, or just cease by for a drink and a friendly chat.

Lesbians who brunch - LWT NYC

Lesbians Who Brunch was born out of the recent Lesbian Who Tech Summit in NYC.  Despite the name, we are not just lesbians - trans, non-binary, and queer folks are welcome.  

Our all-inclusive community of technologists, artists, entrepreneurs, and connectors has a common goal: to produce a positive impact on the world by being the adj version of ourselves.

Let’s build the most solid Meetup group ever, with great food and excellent people. We will do this by coming together over monthly brunches and other event. 

Feel free to create events and divide activities around town.

Is it ok if I arrive late?

Yes! Our Manhattan brunches are very informal and people arrive whenever they can.

What is the age range of your members?

We range from about 20-75.  Most of our members are in their mid 20s to early 50s.  

How much does it cost?  Do I have to buy something at brunch?

Most of our events are free.  For the Manhattan brunches, we each go off and buy our own noun, so you can spend as much or as little as you want.  You don't require to buy anythin
