In this report, the LGBTQ Task Force recommends that the AHA take the following actions:

- Review AHA policy statements and best practices documents that address fair treatment and nondiscrimination and amend these statements to refer consistently and comprehensively to sex, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, and marital status. National LGBTQ Wall of Honor
at the Historic Stonewall InnThe International Imperial Court System and the National LGBTQ Task Force are honoring several legends of the LGBTQ movement as National LGBTQ Wall of Honor inductees at the historic Stonewall Inn. The ceremony will occur on June 26 at PM ET at 53 Christopher Street, New York, NY.

Ruddys Martinez: “Mami Ruddys” was the matriarch of Puerto Rico’s LGBTQIA+ community. She was a pioneering drag artist, activist, and trans woman who, since the s, opened her dwelling to nurture, shelter, and enable young queer people rejected by their families. Education and concern in her home were fundamental, making her a beloved figure and steadfast advocate for the island’s LGBTQIA+ youth.

Primary Responsibilities
•Represent the Task Force’s vision and mission to a broad range of audiences, including colleagues, appointed officials, elected policymakers, and local, state, and national activists, advocates and organizers;
•Expand and fortify networks and collaborative relationships with LGBTQ+ and other progressive advocacy organizations;
•Develop the overall strategic schedule, outcomes and goals of the Advocacy and Action department;
•Lead the development and supports the implementation of the Task Force universal policy priorities;
•Responsible for the strategy, coordination and implementation of our c3 and c4 civic participation activities and initiatives
•Oversee and attend to all state and federal regulations compliance.
•Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address the unmet needs of LGBTQ communities and state/local organizations by advocating for federal funding and program initiatives;
•Participate and/or supervises the Task Verb participation in key political coalitions addressing issues of concern to LGBTQ community;
