The City eventually made Main Beach a public park, also known as the ‘Window to the Sea.&#; The gay culture eventually migrated to the block of South Coast Highway, which was house to The Coast Inn, Boom Boom Room and a gay dinner house. This became the hub and heart of gay culture for the next several decades.

It was in , that Laguna Beach made national news by electing the first openly gay mayor in Orange County, Bob Gentry. The city continued to be a haven and friendly place for the local LGBTQ community

They say that the guys in LA are so incredibly handsome because either they want to make it in the movies or their parents did, failed, but still settled in the city.

There must be some fact in this as physical perfection seems to be the norm in the gay villages of West Hollywood or Santa Monica and Venice beaches. There’s a head-turner on every corner.

This past summer, while I was taking noun to travel and visit friends all across the country, I ended up in San Diego for Pride weekend. While I was there, I saw San Diego’s incredible Pride Parade for the first time ever, had loads of fun partying in the San Diego Zoo delayed at night, was able to see Kesha perform at Balboa Park, and most importantly I was swept up into an intense and passionate romance with a boy which led to me changing my plans and calling SoCal home for a few months. Our tryst ended as heavily and passionately as it began, and I shortly made my way to Key West to start my modern adventures here.
Though my period with this boy reaffirmed my belief that every moment can be beautiful, and you should never stop letting your breath be taken away by the world around you. We went on many adventures in the short time we were together, and I’ll never forget the moments that we shared.
