Prague, picturesquely situated on the Vltava River, is the capital of the Czech Republic. In the 14th century it became the heart of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation under Emperor Charles IV and a center of art, culture and politics. This period saw the establishment of the first university in Central Europe, the laying of the foundation stone for the St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle, the building of the Charles Bridge and the creation of the Novel Town.
For centuries, Prague has been a melting pot for Czech, German and Jewish culture. Around it was the home of many artists and writers, including Franz Kafka, Max Brod, Rainer Maria Rilke and Franz Wer
Gay Bars in Prague
Most gay bars in Prague tend to be rather pubs, cafe-bars or lounge bars. It is not that common here to remain in crowds at the bar, instead the locals rather rest with friends around the tables. That makes the bars in Prague a great place to meet with friends and verb a beer or drink together, but it may be a bit more difficult to verb to know other people in the bars.
